Between drafting my second book and editing/marketing my first, I haven’t had a lot of time to read the last couple of months. For most of the year, I was packing away 40+ books a month between Kindle and audiobooks through Audible and Libby, but being an indie author is a hell of a lot of work. Since I can’t stop working my day job, something had to give and the amount of time spent reading other authors’ works was the sacrifice.
That said, I have read a few amazing books lately and I want to share them.
JUST FOR FUN by Becky Tzag
This is the fourth book in Tzag’s JUST LOVE series and it features the third Tolland sibling, Sadie, and her adventures with the sexy star of a mega-popular TV show. Becky was kind enough to give me an ARC without expecting any reviews, but I’ve already pre-ordered the book and plan on buying the paperback as well as soon as I can. Just like in her first three novels, Becky is magically able to write a love story which is the perfect mix of swoony sweetness and spicy. I love all of her characters so much and I want everyone to give her romances a chance.

THE ONES WE REMEMBER by Katie Golightly
Book three of THE ONES series, this novel follows the oldest Hartrick sibling, Colin, as he rekindles a romance with the only woman he’s ever loved, Scarlett. It’s a delightful second chance romance that isn’t afraid to kick you in the gut emotionally again and again. Katie’s novels have quickly become some of my favorite reads; ones I return to again and again.

YESTERDAY’S NEWS by Katie Cawood
Katie’s first book, LESSON LEARNED, is the first modern romance novel I ever read and I’ve followed her offerings loyally ever since. Her latest is set in the same town as her first two novels and features characters introduced in those novels. It’s a fun second chance romance with great banter and a sweet ending.
